Lights suddenly disconnect from Wi-Fi after getting too hot.

Hello, I recently bought two Tasmota 15W Color Bulbs, and they keep overheating and suddenly shut off. They stop responding and disconnect from Wi-Fi. If they were on, they stay that way. Then one of them stopped working, the pure white LEDs, only the warm ones work.

I had bought the exact same model in the past and had no problems. What can I do?

You can artificially limit the maximum output via esphome's config. This is what i use

# Limits the maximum power to 50%. 
# The bulb tends to overheat in the desk lamp, breaking wi-fi connectivity
output:
  - id: !extend white_output
    max_power: 0.5 

The bulbs tend to overheat if placed in an enclosed space like a desk lamp or light fixture

Faced the same issue with old ESP8266 GU10 bulb -- one suddenly switched off and disconnected from Wi-Fi. Powercycle helped to bring it back. I used it only with Warm light, default max_power was 0.9, so I have decreased to 0.85.. If it will appear again will decrease again. Before this issue it worked well for sevear month without issues. I also tried to make config lighter, -- removed snmp time, uptime template -- but not sure if this makes any significant effect.

I fixed it sending the lamps into the garbage, not buying again...

not really. even shelly failed at me in multiple lamps.
went the cheap normal led lemp route, with shelly relay on the switch. Installed a strip around the living for dimmer light or color light.
