Using the LUTs or DCPs with Fujifilm cameras in Zoner Studio

First I want to thank you for all the effort you put into these LUTs and DCPs.

I wanted to use them on Zoner Studio with pictures from my Fujifilm X-S10 and X-H2.

Zoner can demoasaic with Adobe DNG Converter or internally and in both cases it is possible to use a linear tone curve.

But when I put the LUT onto the picture the colors look quite right, but the blacks are way darker than in the corresponding jpg that was shot at the same time with the same Filmsimulation backed in.

I also tried with creating my own linear DCP but the result is exactly the same.

Do you have any idea how we could get the LUTs working in Zoner Studio? I could of course tweak the blacks after applying the lut but it would be much more convernient if we would only need to apply the dcp or lut and get a nearly same result like in camera.

Would you be able to post a small image or screenshot? I could compare them and try to figure out whats going on.
Also, if you have other software that can apply the lut, that could help too.

I did some additional tests and used the DCP I created in Luminar AI. There it worked perfectly fine. Obviously it has something to do with how Zoner Studio applies LUTs and DCPs or how it pre-processes the images. Or I miss something that i would have to do within Zoner to make the LUTs and DCPs work as expected. I will try to clarify with Zoner first.

I know that in DxO PhotoLab you have the option to ignore the (embedded) Adobe curve of a DCP profile and to apply a DxO curve instead. The same might be happening with Zoner Studio (software that I’m not familiar with).

In Zoner you can switch between demosaicing with Adobe DNG Converter or with the Zoner internal RAW processing engine. In both cases one can set the tone curve in Zoner to linear. But the result is the same. The darker parts of the image are much darker than in the in camera jpg file. I opened a ticket with Zoner and see what they can find out about it.

I did not see anything in the zoner documentation about the color space used with luts. It could be using something different like rec709 instead of sRGB.

There are two different sections where LUTs can be applied. According to the help bot on their website it uses ProPhoto RGB in the Color Style section and sRGB in the Effect 3D LUT section. I tried using the sRGB version of the LUT in the Effect 3D LUT section but the result is the same. Let's wait and see what they answer to my support ticket. Maybe that will give us a hint what is causing this behaviour and how to fix it.

By the way...in Luminar AI using the created DCP i first only looked at how the shadows are handled and they were close to the in camera jpg. But now i realized that the colors are not right. So Luminar AI gehts the shadows right with the DCP but not the colors and Zoner gets the colors close to the in camera jpg but not the shadow tones.
