Scrolling becomes laggy and often freezes for several seconds when viewing a folder that contains .avif files.

Current Behavior:

• When scrolling through a folder containing many .avif images, the scrolling is not smooth.
• The UI frequently freezes/stutters for a few seconds.

Expected Behavior:

• Smooth and fluid scrolling even when the folder contains many .avif files.

Additional Info:

• The issue seems specific to .avif format (other image formats like .jpg, .png, .webp appear fine).
• This significantly affects the user experience when browsing folders with AVIF images.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Prepare a folder containing multiple .avif files.
2. Open the folder in the app.
3. Try scrolling up and down quickly.

Could you please optimize the thumbnail loading / rendering for .avif files to improve scrolling performance?
