Love the idea of this app! Just tested it out walking.
- In 'No GPS' mode, via the UI button, GPS still appears to be used.
- I disable GPS via Android settings and the map marker disappears / the tracking doesn't really work.
I was thinking that dead reckoning could be viable in GPS-jammed environments, if the user has a few 'known' map positions to calibrate on.
As it stands, I'm not sure the app really works as intended 😢
Note, I'm on GrapheneOS, but have sandboxed Google services installed, so it shouldn't be much different to stock AOSP.
