PE gives this taxpayer a property tax credit of 1900, which presumes that the taxable value of the home is <$165,000. See line 9 of MI1040CR.
How does PE impute the home value? I am worried that basing the imputation on income or property tax risks adding a multi-thousand dollar notch to the calculation but I have no solution.
The same issue exists for Minnesota.
BTW - I ran PE on both FreeBSD and Linux, and the Linux version returned results as if the value of idtl was 2 rather than 5.
Mysterious.
