migrate to a static site generator

There are a lot of really good static site generators now.
This could be done in conjunction with #13

Did you mean Jekyll the SSG? Or something else?

And if the SSG, are we using it somewhere?

Oh, I see, the Jekyll reference was likely due to you starting to migrate the static site to GitHub Pages, but looks like that never happened.

Oh, actually it did happen, but the DNS for planttracer.com still points to dreamhost. So this discussion belongs in #13

Now, for the rest of this issue, on first read it looks like we can go ahead and take the static site contents and make Jekyll/Liquid templates that'll work with GitHub Pages. So that we can better maintain the static site contents over time.
