On the original A2000 (as opposed to the later B2000), and presumably on the Amiga 1000, Denise pins 32 and 34 are not connected to anything. Therefore /CDAC and composite sync signals are not available to the Framethrower and it can't function.
/CDAC apparently isn't required by the Framethrower, but composite sync is. On the A2000 you can work around this by running a bodge wire from U77 pin 8 to U76 pin 32.
This might be more a documentation issue than something you can do anything about...
