Update HDR image upload process to use remove metadata json file now that it uses the content endpoint

As a quick solution to continue with the prototype of the full HDR image upload process, metadata around the import is currently saved in a json file alongside the images.

Originally this let us move forward without using the content endpoint, but now that we do this is no longer needed.
