Run the new automated tests when a PR is submitted and when code is merged to main

Attempted to add a dotnet test step to .github/workflows/main.yml (which already triggers on both push to main and pull_request to main). However, the push was rejected: the configured Personal Access Token lacks the workflow scope required to create or update GitHub Actions workflow files.

Blocker: The PAT needs the workflow scope added before this change can be pushed. The change itself is ready (commit a760d17 on branch ci-run-tests locally).

Completed by Sandcastle. Added a dotnet test step to .github/workflows/main.yml so automated tests run on both pull_request and push to main. The previous workflow scope blocker is resolved; branch pushed and PR #14 opened. Tests verified passing locally.
