The website is missing a high-level architectural view of what offlineimap actually is.
For example, is it an imap server? Is it an imap server specifically designed to be run "offline" on someone personal machine? Is it an imap server syncing tool (and therefore connects 2 different imap servers)? Is it an imap client with feature making it ideal for archiving offline imap folders?
Without a definitive, authoritative statement from the people who know the answer, people who nothing about the software, will be left to make assumptions, possibly incorrect assumptions, making it hard for them to evaluate whether offlineimap fits their specific usecase.
The information to answer that question may already exist on the website somewhere, but it's not "upfront", at the top. To use a news story metaphor, "you're burying the lead". I believe it should be on the About page. The About page says alot about the website, but nothing about the software.
