Upgrade Nextcloud to version 33 in the ns8-nextcloud module.

Proposed solution

Update the container image reference and any related configuration to use Nextcloud 33. Validate compatibility with existing integrations (LDAP, SMTP, apps) and run the test suite before releasing.

Alternative solutions

Stay on the current version until a minor release of Nextcloud 33 is available (e.g., 33.0.1) for improved stability.

   • Install ns8-nextcloud module version 1.7.0-dev.2
   • Verify Nextcloud 33.0.1 container starts successfully
   • Test basic functionality (login, file operations)

2. Upgrade Path

   • Upgrade existing Nextcloud 32.x instance to version 33
   • Verify database migration completes without errors
   • Check all apps remain functional post-upgrade

3. Integration Testing

   • LDAP: Verify user authentication via LDAP
   • SMTP: Test email notifications
   • notify_push: Confirm v1.3.1 compatibility with NC33
   • Apps: Validate installed apps work correctly

4. Stability Check

   • Monitor for any warnings in admin panel
   • Run occ status and verify system health
   • Check logs for unexpected errors
