Code Smells in the code

There are quite a few design and implementation smells that can hinder the project development in future for new contributors.

I am attaching the report that might be helpful.

Thanks for working on this. Have you tried running the unit tests? They are not passing for me.

The tests that are failing are in the BotTest class. I suspect they are failing because of the polymorphic dispatch changes. A big change like this probably warrants its own, separate pull request.

If you can revert the polymorphic dispatch change and address my remaining comments, I will merge the pull request.

I have created a separate PR for the Polymorphic change.
I have also fixed the issue that was causing test cases to fail. Now, in both PR, all the test cases are passing.
