A boater arriving at the harbor looking for a place to dock. Does not have a long-term berth assignment. Wants to find a free berth quickly, ideally before walking the dock.
Cares about: berth availability, location, booking a spot, clear on-site signage.
Staff member responsible for harbor operations. On duty during the day, often on a tablet walking the docks.
Cares about: live occupancy overview, unauthorized mooring alerts, node health, provisioning new sensors, responding to issues fast.
A boat owner with a long-term berth assignment. Sometimes leaves for days or weeks and wants their berth used by visitors while away.
Cares about: marking berth available, setting return date, confirming their slot is free when they come back.
Staff member responsible for the physical sensor network. May not be on site daily.
Cares about: battery levels, offline nodes, replacing failed hardware, firmware updates.
