Could you consider adding an mDNS responder, so something that returns the IP for say
geekmagic-smalltvpro-<6 char random guid>.local
so that would be:
geekmagic-smalltvpro-2617ae.local
geekmagic-smalltvpro-7b6af7.local
etc...
I have a few of these on my network, which is entirely DHCP based, so the IPs change sometimes which makes administering them all a challenge.
I'd rather not use fixed IPs if I can avoid it.
