abstract: >
HALOSim models how often providers in a clinical setting encounter
high-acuity low-occurrence (HALO) events such as cardiac arrests
or airway emergencies. Given a provider schedule and an event rate,
it simulates exposure history across a population, computes maximum
gaps between live encounters, and models how training programs
substitute for live exposure to maintain readiness.
