Hi there
I know that CachyOS started with speed improvements and gaming compatibility in mind but I think that is also very good for musicians out there.
In my case coming from Fedora had to read Arch wiki and many other articles to get an usable configuration for my purposes.
Being that said a Musicians config section and a official Cachy repo that provides the initial libraries and programs would be very convenient like having the installation and configuration for pipewire with JACK, realtime privileges, also Yabridge.
For example Yabridge installation is difficult because the wine-cachyOS is awesome but optimized with gamimg in mind and even worse unusable, because of the library limitations so you have to downgrade to wine 9.21 to use Yabridge and install the github repository binaries because the Arch repo does not provide the compiled versions for 32 bit programs so older VSTs are unusable.
So things like that make the usage of the OS complex at first considering for instance that the configuration for gaming is easy.
I really want to know how to contribute in that aspect and if anyone else has any ideas to improve the initial setup for musicians, not talking about specifics like DAWs but initial sound libs to get everything running smooth.
Thanks
