Pre-flight checklist
Upstream / vanilla kernel check
I have not tested with a vanilla/upstream kernel
Kernel variant
linux-cachyos (EEVDF, Clang)
System information (cachyos-bugreport.sh)
https://paste.cachyos.org/p/44d3ffe.log
Manual system information (if cachyos-bugreport.sh is unavailable)
Bug description
The Razer Viper Mini mouse has 2 side buttons (Button 4 and Button 5). One of the buttons, specifically Button 4, does not work.
Installing openrazer drivers also does not give any result.
The button starts working if you enter this command:
echo -n -e "\x03\x00" > /sys/bus/hid/drivers/razermouse/1532:008A/device_mode
I wrote about this problem in the openrazer repository, but at some point they stopped answering me about what else I could try.
openrazer/openrazer#2737
Steps to reproduce
- Press the button
Expected behavior
The button works
Actual behavior
The button not works
Logs / stack traces
Additional system information
No response
