Hi, I'm interested in exploring openxr on macos, possibly even building my own runtime! I noticed that this project doesn't seem to have a license. Could you add one? If you have no preference, a good choice would be Apache 2.0 or MIT :)

First of all, thank you for starting MetalXR and publishing the early work around the idea of bringing OpenXR-style workflows to macOS. I really appreciate the original direction and the groundwork you shared publicly.

I noticed this existing issue about adding a project-level license, and I wanted to add some context from my side.

I have forked the repository and have been continuing experimental development here:

The project is still not complete, but the current direction is to make Unity Editor Play Mode on macOS usable from an OpenXR headset, starting with Quest-based development and testing.

While working on the fork, I also noticed that the upstream repository does not currently include a project-level open source license file. Since I would like to keep developing this fork publicly and avoid any ambiguity around reuse, contributions, and redistribution, would you be open to adding an explicit open source license to the original repository?

From my side, Apache-2.0 or MIT would be ideal because both are permissive, widely understood, and easy for future contributors to work with. Of course, the license choice should be yours as the original authors, and I would be happy to follow whatever license you decide is appropriate.

There is no urgency, and I do not want to assume permission beyond what you intended when you originally published the repository. I am asking now so the licensing situation is clear before the fork moves further.
