Expression Pedal Support

Hello,

If I remember correctly I have read somewhere here that Expression Pedal Support is something that is on the list of features for future development. Since I am currently putting together a new version of my extended TonexOne Pedal I am thinking about already including an expression port (and probably wiring it to my JC3248W535C controller) for future use. Do you maybe have an Update how Expression Support could be/will be implemented in the future?

Hi Tony,
I haven't really had much progress on this. I would like to work on it, but I have been focusing on bug fixes and soon adding support for the One +. Supporting the project has also been taking up quite a bit of time.

I would like to use an Analog to Digital converter to read the pedal value. The ESP32-S3 has them on board, but some platforms won't have enough pins (or the right pins available) so I will probably also look at the option of connecting an ADC via the I2C expansion bus (the same place the SX1509 connects to.)
Something like the ADS1115 is pretty common and not super expensive.

I don't really have a time line at the moment.

Right now I am totally happy with Tonex One Controller - just finished my "fly rig" yesterday, works perfectly! It does already include a stereo jack for future experimentation so I guess I should be prepared whenever it happens...:-)

i have connected an expression pedal on my Chocolate to control volume, it works but keep the last value on a tonex one, with the autosave function, so very hard to use it in reality, it erases all your setting made at home

Hi, yes this is difficult one. I can't change how the Tonex One does this saving.
Expression pedals are probably better for controlling effect parameters, that are not global settings.

Can i connect a passive exp pedal on my chocolate to control delay mix parameter? I have a wavezero controller to pilot tonex One .thx

yes of course, just only passive pedal, but with a minijack in the chocolate, and set in Cubesuite your chocolat to accept Exp Pedal...and set it on the Mix delay CC#8
