2swap Outreach Offer

As the 2swap YouTube channel grows, I am looking for ways to materialize its success beyond just the YouTube ecosystem. This includes building a community of other mathematicians interested in creating content involving emergent systems, complexity research, dynamical systems, and other related fields within Math, Physics, and Computer Science.

I offer a cash reward for collaboration on a 2swap video.

Here are some preliminary expectations:

  • You should be familiar with Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a relevant technical field, ideally pursuing or holding at least a bachelor's degree. You should also be technically comfortable with the specific topic of the video.
  • You are expected to be a strong programmer, ideally with experience in C++.

To make terms clear:

  • You will be compensated $5,000 - $8,000 USD, depending primarily on the amount of assistance you need. You will receive payment by submitting an invoice between 1 and 2 months after the video is posted. Any remaining revenue, if present, is split accordingly between myself (2swap) and 6884.
  • I will subject the video and script to intense quality control, scrutiny and revision. It will not be posted (nor compensated) until it is approved for publication.
  • The video will be sponsored by a third party company, including a post-roll ad read.
  • I will provide instruction in video editing using SwapTube and C++/CUDA.
  • The video will be posted on the 2swap YouTube channel.
  • Many forms of credit are permissible, including a pre-roll or post-roll shoutout with links to socials, a mention in the description, a pinned comment, etc.
  • The video is expected to follow the general format and style of 2swap videos. Accordingly, I (2swap) will do the voiceover.
  • A backing soundtrack will be made for you by 6884.
  • If it goes well, you may receive a continuous offer to make more videos like this going forward!
  • If, for whatever reason, the video is never greenlit to be posted on 2swap, you may post it yourself!

An excellent video idea is:

  • Representable visually in a beautiful way. Swaptube / 2swap have an extreme emphasis on visualization.
  • Pedagogically rich. The viewer should feel like they have been offered a new, memorable insight.
  • Philosophically charged. How does this topic relate to the big questions of science, math, and philosophy at large?
  • Accessible to a general audience. Even if technical details will be lost on some viewers, can it be made engaging to everyone?

These terms are negotiable, this is just the format I prefer.

If you are interested in collaborating, please reach out to me on Discord, via username 2swap.
