[feature request] Direction finding and beamforming #28

Description

@ea4gja

Please consider this proposal: with kerberos sdr, and kraken sdr, it could be possible to use a fixed array of four or five omnidirectional antennas.

In my view, first step could be to use beamforming to emulate two directional antennas using the fixed array of omni ones.

The second step could be to use direction finding to locate the targets in a map, knowing distance from radar and bearing from direction finding.

Please take into account that kerberos sdr does have a switchable noise source to calibrate it. Kerberos SDR has not antenna switches to autodisconnect antennas during calibration. It would be needed to connect the antennas after calibration, in theory. In practice, most times mine does not need. But kerberos sdr does include the minimum to get itself calibrated.

Thank you very much for your interest. Best regards, German EA4GJA
