OpenAPI API spec

It would be somewhat neat/cool/cute if the RESTful API were documented using OpenAPI.
Then you could programmatically generate API documentation and clients in various programming languages.
You could also leverage Swagger UI as an API client, instead of having to build a bespoke one in HTML5.

That sounds like a good idea, I might not have time to work on it before the next major revision (not sure when that's gonna be), so if someone wanna play with it before that, feel free :)
