Hi! Your app is very useful, thanks for making it, and for publishing it on F-droid!
I have found that it can make it easier to set up my satellite dish to point to the correct satellite. At first I did not understand why is the satellite shown to be in the direction of the ground, but then I found your comment here explanining how should the app be used.
It would be indeed useful to have some kind of mini tutorial for that, perhaps with a simple illustration.
In your explanation you pointed out that the phone could be attached to the sat dish in the place of the head to help with alignment.
But at the point you are doing that, its often too late: you have already drilled the holes and installed the dish on the wall, and you realize there are trees or buildings in the way, so you need to drill new holes at a different place!
To help with that, it would be very useful to have a display mode that overlays the satellite location on the camera view.
For inspiration, you could take a look at how the trailsense app overlays a direction pointer, the location and path of the sun and the moon over the camera view. It even shows timestamps for different positions of them! You can check it in its astronomy tool, after pressing the "View in 3D" button.
If you think, you could also add a degree measure to the borders of the screen, and a button to take a picture with the overlay included.
Finally, I have another suggestion that is less about the functionality of the app. You may have read about google's plans for developer verification being extended to all independently distributed apps.
The F-droid app catalog recently has started showing a warning at the top of their webpage, that directs readers to this site: https://keepandroidopen.org/
Something I have seen other apps start doing is to include the FreeDroidWarn library as also recommended on this site, that warns the users that the developer may not be able to continue development after the date if google enforces its lockdown policy.
I recommend you consider adding this warning thing to your app.
