Are there any known issues in regard to livesystem and /cow rootfs file changes?

I am currently experiencing some strange issues with Mint 22.3 when I am using the live medium without having installed the system (there is plenty of memory, see below) to do some basic coding and testing tasks?

For example I save an edited textfile with Xed inside a directory that is being monitored with inotify. But inotify will not always "notice" that a file has been saved. Other issues include some compilation and from time to time the resulting binary file will contain stale contents from files, that have already been changed and saved.
