--- SNIP ---
--- SNIP --- A shortage of people who want to write code, coupled with a surplus of people, bots, and “AI” bots that post counterproductive comments and distract developers from their actual work, perhaps? But that's just a guess. |

I like if a senior member, or developer could answer this.
What is the exact reason for the 20 years old problem, that while WiFi work in Live Linux Mint session, the driver is often not installed when installing Linux Mint, so new user boot into Linux Mint without WiFi?
And what is the reason that it can't be solved?
It needs a solution, 20 years is enough time!
New users to Linux Mint that run into this, often ask why, so now I would like the answer too.
NOTE : This is not a request for help, I know how to fix the issue, I just would like to know why the developers can't make a permanent solution!!
And for those reading this, if you don't have WiFi after installation, then insert the Live USB with Linux Mint, mount it and open Driver Manager.
Driver Manager should find the proprietary drivers and offer them to you.
This is work around, and NOT under any circumstances a solution, because sometimes even this work around fail, so though the WiFi worked in Live session, Driver Manager can't even find the correct driver on the USB.
2026, this is ridiculous!
