Wanted change

being able to open a file on nextcloud which then opens this file using a linux desktop app with selkies

Reason for change

completely integrating a selfhostable file-service would just be amazing

Have you ever read this, there is a 0% chance I would implement something like this:

Better to just work with nextcloud directly and make something simple and sane. You only need to send the file, and keep sending updates back on changes. This is an over engineered mess.

@thelamer but you would consider implementing another way of launching apps to read and write to nextcloud?

Nextcloud would need to launch docker containers for this to work, they have an app API.
What would be needed is knowing what they want, how I would do it is just have a file mounted into the container and set the app to launch it. Hat would be the simplest bulletproof interface but I am not going to make something like that unless it is what their devs want.

I'm down but I am not in contact with them, it makes sense and they have some stuff wired up would just need to link extensions to containers and expand their app store to include our images that make sense.
