We need a wrapper in the base images to handle this we can update outside of selkies code and trigger that wrapper by app name.
Right now the commands being sent are not setting the wayland socket to run against properly, so it is trying to launch an X11 app (st) directly into the parent wayland socket without xwayland running so it silently fails.
