Puae2021 on MIPS

Hi,
I am desperately trying to play Amiga games on my GKD Pixel, but it is has MIPS architecture so ARM libretro cores don’t work. The only Amiga MIPS libretro core is the basic PUAE which works too slow for this device. Very grateful for any support for a MIPS puae2021 core. Unfortunately my technical ability falls well short! Thanks

Yep that’s the issue in this case. The core works fine on ARM devices as that is how they are coded. The GKD Pixel is a MIPS device that needs the core cross compiling (or compiled in MIPS from source code) to work on these machines. That’s what I need help with, specifically with the PUAE2021 branch

Ah ok, I was just trying to explain that the core does not work on MIPS systems as different binary, and so just wanting to know if achievable to be able to run on MIPS architecture console (I imagine through re-compiling). But no worries if not of interest, thanks for looking in any case

What I was saying was that I have no idea why the current slower core without the year would work and 2021 not, since both are the same in this regard. Both have no specific "support" for MIPS, as far as I can tell.

That’s really interesting - I have read that PUAE is slower but could be purely speculative, and it’s possible that PUAE2021 would not perform better on the handheld (it’s otherwise good to N64). I just wanted the chance to play Amiga on it as was the majority of my childhood, and PUAE/PUAE2021 work great elsewhere. I wish I had the expertise to test it all out!
