opencode cannot read images anymore.

Description

Until April 29 2026, i was able to ask to opencode to read an .png or .jpg image to explain what modifications to perform to an html page, opencode was able to 'see' page and correctly perform modifications, but today may 5 2026 when instruct to read an image it fails with err: Bad Request: {"error":{"message":"Error from provider: No endpoints found that support image input","code":404}} . i was using opencode 1.13.x and upgrade to 1.14.34 but same result. im using big pickle (free) as model.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

• Error: "this model does not support image input" with paid providers (GitHub Copilot, Anthropic, etc.) but works with free models #16468: Error with image input support — interestingly, that issue reports big-pickle (free) working for images while paid providers fail, which is the reverse of what you're experiencing. May be related to the same underlying image support detection logic.
• Unable to read images for some models #5359: Unable to read images for some models — similar symptoms of image reading stopping to work.

It's also possible that the big-pickle free model's endpoint recently dropped image/vision support on the provider side, which would explain the No endpoints found that support image input error regardless of opencode version.

bump - i spend a few hours trying to figure this out - it broke after an update (was on 1.14.31 - worked):
"ERROR: Cannot read "clipboard" (this model does not support image input). Inform the user."
This is not model issue - LM Studio - dumping images - works, opencode - blind af.
Tried big piclke, and other "free" models - same story. Llama server - same. Issue seems to lay in opencode binary, so was not able to fix it fast enough. Didn't have time to open ticket yesterday @arduinosvv beat me to it.

maybe it was not 1.14.31? I ran npm install -g opencode-ai@1.14.31 and still does not work...

simple revert to even lower version - 1.14.29 still fails. I give up for now.
