+# Bulgarian currency conversion - Developer Update
+
+## Overview
+
+Important information for developers selling in Bulgarian storefronts.
+
+As Bulgaria joins the Eurozone, all consumer transactions across Xbox and Windows platforms (including Xbox.com, Microsoft.com, Microsoft Store on Windows, Xbox PC App, M365, and Apps.microsoft.com) will be processed in euros starting January 1, 2026.
+
+Due to the compressed timing, we will be temporarily suspending paid transactions in the Bulgarian storefronts beginning December 15, 2025. To clarify, transactions conducted in Bulgarian lev will be restricted; however, the Bulgarian storefront will remain operational, and products will continue to be displayed. After the temporary shutoff, users attempting to transact in lev will see a failure message.

+## Paid transactions update
+
+Paid transactions will be temporarily disabled in affected Bulgarian storefronts starting December 15, 2025.
+
+## Subscriptions
+
+All Microsoft (first-party) subscriptions will be queued for republishing to EUR on the transition day, aiming for renewals and purchases to occur in EUR immediately after the block. Subscription owners are asked to coordinate closely.
+
+Third-party partners will need to make changes in Partner Center before republishing in EUR. A playbook will be provided to enable these changes as soon as possible after the currency block.

+## Restoration timeline
+
+Microsoft will start republishing products with euro currency in early January 2026, with completion expected by late February or early March. To have your product available sooner, you can republish it yourself after December 15, 2025.

+Engineering teams are developing messaging that will be displayed to consumers visiting the affected storefronts.

+## Key actions for developers
+
+* Monitor Partner Center communications for updates on the restoration timeline and consumer messaging.
+
+* After December 15, 2025, you can either republish your product with the correct euro currency or wait for Microsoft to automatically republish by early March 2026.
+
+* Review your offerings to ensure compliance with eurozone currency requirements.
+
