Log data can accumulate in your account over time which can increase the cost of storage. If you need log data for only a small period of time, you can reduce your costs by modifying the log data retention period. For example, if you need logs for only three days, set your log data retention period to a value of `3`. That way logs will be automatically deleted from your account after 3 days.
