Keyboard Error When Using XTMAX

Hello

I am using the following XT motherboard.

I am able to get the machine to boot from a Gotek the Compaq OEM 3.31 MS-DOS boot disk image without using the XTMAX.

I configured the xtmax with the latest ino file from github. I cleaned, created a 32MB partition on the 8GB SD card. I get a keyboard error immediately at boot with and without the sd card. It is the same error message get if I was using an AT keyboard or did not have one plugged in at all. I also tried changing the base ROM address to 0xD8000. See error message I get immedately at boot before any XTMAX output is displayed.

The keyboard I am using is a hybrid XT / AT keyboard with a selector switch on the bottom. It is a Mitsumi KPQ-E99YC keyboard.

Did you configure the Teensy 4.1 to use Fastest optimization and run at 800-900 Mhz? Also, is your machine running faster than 4.77 Mhz? I wonder if this computer's BIOS is trying to access stuff on the ISA bus before XTMax has a chance to configure. This is worse if running an accelerated CPU or if the XTMax is running at too low of a frequency.

One other hint is that your BIOS only sees 128K. When the XTMax has booted and is running it auto-senses the CPU accessing RAM and provides missing memory up to 640 KB. If you only see 128K then the CPU may have sized memory before XTMax had a chance to boot and auto-sense these accesses.

Can you perform a warm reset after this error? That way we are sure the XTMax is up and running before the CPU begins to POST. Maybe also try slowing the CPU speed down to 4.77 Mhz as well - although the XTMax has been able to handle very fast ISA bus speeds in the past.
