On right clicking and choosing "Dissassembly", my particular binary/perf.data times out. The timeout is hardcoded to 30s. I tested with addr2line and it worked after 2 minutes.
A gui and/or command-line option to set the timeout would be nice. The binary I was using had 200MBs of code and 2.8GBs of symbols. The perf.data file was 8GBs in size.
